FAIRFAX, Virginia (November 1, 2017) – The US Government made a public announcement that ARC Relocation, LLC (ARC) was awarded the sole source Relocation contract for the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The contract is valued at $9.9 million dollars and can run for a term of five years.
Created by an act of Congress in 1879, USGS has evolved over the ensuing 125 years, matching its talent and knowledge to the progress of science and technology. USGS is the sole science agency for the Department of the Interior. USGS is sought out by thousands of partners and customers for its natural science expertise and its vast earth and biological data holdings.
The USGS serves the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life.
The USGS employs approximately 8,670 people and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia. The USGS also has major offices near Lakewood, Colorado, at the Denver Federal Center, and Menlo Park, California.
