As many of you may know ARC Relocation relocates employees of the US Government and Corporations all over the world. Many of our moves are into and out of the US Territory – Puerto Rico. We have also maintained a corporate office there for several years, choosing to relocate many of our own families and lives to this beautiful island we call home.
We have chosen to make our homes here, and are committed to protecting the island and all of the beautiful people that live here.
Stay Strong Puerto Rico – 2017 Hurricane Disaster Relief Efforts
In 2017, in the wake of devastating hurricanes Irma and Maria, ARC Relocation made a public request to collect and send supplies to the ravaged island of Puerto Rico. The result was an outpouring of generosity from friends, family, and colleagues from all over. So much so that a second shipment was needed to take everything that didn’t make it the first time. Over 96,000 lbs of disaster relief supplies and goods were transported to Puerto Rico, in our largest relocation ever. In fact, our initial container was 20,000 lbs over the limit!
We collected everything from construction supplies such as extension cords, wheelbarrows, hammers, work gloves, and chainsaws to baby wipes, diapers, and formula. We are very appreciative of all the donations that were dropped off as well as the cash donations which totaled over $3,000!
We’re proud of our team members, our hard-working partners (Paxton Companies, Aaversal Global Logistics, Override Films), and all of the other volunteers that were involved to make this happen!
Our Continuing Commitment to Puerto Rico
Over Puerto Rico’s history, storms have frequently devastated the island, and unfortunately, this is probably not the last time they will. But regardless of what may come, ARC Relocation remains committed to assisting however we can, on the front lines of hope and healing.
